Michelangelo’s David returns to court

On 29 November 2014, the Victoria and Albert Museum’s newly renovated Italian Cast Court – renamed the Weston Cast Court – reopened to the public.  When ChromeRadio was recording Mr Cole comes to Kensington last year for BBC Radio 4, restoration was still in full swing.  But we did manage to persuade Dr Marjorie Trusted, Senior Curator of Sculpture, to give us an interview.  She told us about the V&A’s magnificent David.

Christopher Frayling in conversation with Dr Marjorie Trusted on one of the Weston Cast Court’s star attractions…

To listen again to Mr Cole comes to Kensington in which Christopher Frayling explores the legacy of Henry Cole, dynamic founder of the V&A and its vibrant design partnership with the Royal College of Art, pop across to the V&A.
